🌸T H A I L A N D🌸

Ahh, Thailand. The country of music, culture, cleanliness, and wonders like all countries have. But this simple country is much more than that. It is diverse throughout the people in the society, and the tropical-magical wonderland for everyone to see and experience.

And to me, Thailand is almost like Singapore.

But, if I were to blog about it. It would take much more blog posts to be able to tell you how much I really enjoyed Thailand and how I experienced it whilst being there.

Therefore, I’ll just post pictures during our 10 glorious days of our trip. From Thailand, to Chatuchak, to Temples, and much more! Just check out my “Highlights” in my Instagram!

The Summer of a Feminist

“Ah summer, what power you have to make us suffer and like it.” -Russel Baker

There is nothing much hotter than the heat during the summer season. Whilst some try to keep themselves cooled off by it, there are those who embrace it. I’m both! But, as for this summer, nothing much has happened (yet) to actually “start-off” my summer season. Except taking my first. FIRST. Summer. Class. *cues the funeral music* Thankfully, it’s not so bad and I still get to spend time with my friends even if it’s just an hour per day.

Totally not stressing out.

However, after classes I get to spend much more time with editing pictures, nature, music, art, and sports. Despite the classes and the heat, it’s still a good summer anyway. Ah yes, it really is the summer season.

Oh! Now that I’ve mentioned “editing pictures.” You might’ve thought what were those! Well, for a mini summer project, I decided to go on a photoshoot adventure in a grocery store! With, a full-on fashion statement that also goes well with a topic that I am proud to talk about!

Taking Photography Adventures with Milktea, Noodles, and French Fries Part II

Do you guys LOVE food? Well of course you do, it’s what make us alive and breathing lmfao. But when it comes to newly-discovered mini restos hidden between the busy streets in this city of mine and other places, it’s an adventure! Especially when everything is so Instagram-worthy or photo-worthy (means that a photo is worthy enough to take a pic and posting it online).

This cafè is called,”Chingkeetea” and is located at Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental. They serve Authentic Taiwanese Milk Tea and it is JUST. SO. DELICIOUS! Each cafè has its own special, creative art interior look! But this place is just one-of-a-kind! They serve up some delicious drinks and puts up satisfying interior and exterior decor! The prices are good too for you to try all the flavors in their cafè.

Sad to say, this place of theirs is about to close down due to a new owner who is planning to put up a bigger business. It will also affect the other cafès (yes there are more 😦 ). But look at the bright side! They still have 2-3 more branches somewhere in my city and hopefully, they will find a way to expand their business!

Taking Photography Adventures with a Bike Part I

Instagram- is one of the most popular and followed sites all over the internet, and has tons of sweet updates, settings, and most importantly, filters. One by one, people seem to change their natural photo filters into a whole new level. But don’t you think that you had enough of it? Well, in my case we can do both at the same time anyway. Just as long as you get a better picture.

Biking is one of my favorite sports to do, and a day never goes by without me not having to use my bike. But in this photoshooting adventure that I am about to show you, it’s my brother’s bike. Haha.

26855349_1824775760897451_2002029855_n

It was a beautiful saturday morning to ride a bike and take pictures!

26794009_1824775594230801_79456867_n

As you can see, I was kinda struggling to stay balanced on my bike when I brought my two feet up for the picture.

The Timeless Glamour of Vintage Hollywood 2018: Part I

Last night happened to be a splendid, magical, and a memorable experience that will never, truly be forgotten in my heart. In a single night, everything went down and became a blur of happiness. Lights were beaming, the chandeliers became like a sky full of stars and made the room so alive and bright, the music controlled our bodies, letting each of us move to the beat, to the song, and our dresses and suits of silk made us shine like diamonds in the sky (so shine bright~ lol). It was just a timeless, golden night that we were waiting for the whole school year. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give to you, The Timeless Glamour of Vintage Hollywood of the Junior-Senior Promenade 2018.

Wearing the Zoi Floral Prom Dress from Forever New.
Accessories were bought in local shops here in my city.
Makeup was done by MUA.
Black heels from H&M. All that’s left of me was confidence, natural beauty, and a good heart to celebrate the night with the people I love.

THE TIMELESS GLAMOUR OF VINTAGE HOLLYWOOD: PART II and Tips

Witnessing and experiencing the prom last Saturday was truly memorable. It may not be the best prom ever, but it was better than all of the parties that I have ever gone to in my whole high school life. As a result of that, I’m already pumped up for more parties and hopefully, it would be somewhere a bit warmer and somewhere I can get to wear a pair of boots or sneakers than heels. *suddenly caresses feet* I can still feel the pain.

All that aside, I am pleased to say that I made a new hashtag for all of you to catch up on my adventures and to make my blog posts easier for you if you are interested in certain topics like, travel, photography, and other cool stuff cuz that’s just the way I wanna do it in my blog. Just click on my tag and that’s that! You can also see it on my Instagram Highlighted Stories, my posts, and in these blogs.

Now, back to the topic!

Recalling ,my prom experience, I’ve also learned the basic necessities and thought of giving my advice for those who are about to celebrate their prom, debuts, and other parties. Here are 3 things for you to know!

I. The Life Savers

images (1)

Imagine drinking a sweet shake or getting that delicious small piece of food that you have been eyeing since you went inside that party venue. As you begin to gobble it in your mouth it…falls. Not all over your clothes but ALL OVER the area that people can actually see it. Wouldn’t that be the most embarrassing thing that you would ever have? If it already happened, then it’s okay fallen soldier! *salute to you* Others had it worse! But if it hasn’t happened yet, then you better know what to bring and prepare for the worst.

What you should hold on to at all times:

A small pack of tissue and wipes
Hand Sanitizer
Perfume/Cologne
A small pack of mints (you don’t want your breath hovering around the place!)

2. The Purse for the Night

giphy (1).gif

We obviously need a small yet beautiful-looking bag to help us look even better with our prom dresses. The perfect bag has to suit your dress, or it may be a pop of color that will make you stand out. As long as it has enough space for your things from tip #1.

And lastly!

3. Prom Photos

Santana_and_dave_at_prom.gif

Capturing moments with your date and with your friends can also, literally mean…Taking. A. Photo. I think these are the best ones since it’s something that will make you hold on to these good memories. Just make sure it’s a photo worth capturing and not regretting.

BONUS TIP! Prevent a Beauty Breakdown

Bring your mini make-up kit and check yourself from time to time during the party. To prevent yourself from making embarrassing events you might regret!
Like this, for example.

Well, this is Kyla The Kyotieee, and I hope this will help you! And don’t forget to have fun!

18 New Year Resolutions for 2018

Realizing how much time flies when a new year comes can be kinda tough and rough. Well, in my case that’s what I thought. But, I was wrong! I learned that anytime can be a fresh start, and it does not always have to start in a “new year.” If you ask me, this is TOTALLY a must-read to help you to not just get through the year, but to help you through all the years to come and be able to find those resolutions. That’s why I set out 18 must-read resolutions for you to take note of! I know it’s a lot, but each resolution gives you great advice and provides what may be helpful for you.

Enjoy!

Resolution #1: Breath in, breath out.

As a working mortal, you would sometimes start your days tired, stressed, and just let the weight of all your problems push yourself down, thinking all of that even though you haven’t started the day yet. It’s not healthy of course, so you shouldn’t do that to yourself.

download
My advice for you is to take breaks when needed. But if you just want to sleep for some reason, then I can totally see that you’re just giving up on yourself, when you can actually finish those tasks quickly.

Resolution #2: Start those skips and next times.

I think you know what I mean when you start a certain task and at a certain point you stop finishing it. Leaving it behind and promising yourself you’ll do it the next day or when you’re free. But you don’t! The next thing you know, it starts to dust to rust to rot itself out in that corner of “future things to do soon” stash. Harsh.

my other self is like:

tenor

My advice for you is to start finishing them. Busy or not, it’s very gratifying to finish things you can finish. Turning you into a more prolific, virile, and a vibrant human being. Plus, you end up no regrets! How’s that sound?

Resolution #3: Restore yourself.

Remembering those good ol’ days was great and nothing ever really mattered. It was just all party and fun, there weren’t any depressing problems that made your heart-break, bleed, and blinded. But since it’s the modern age, I get to have this itch in the back of my mind that you let that all gone into ashes. But it’s time to bring it back!

980x

My advice for you is to have fun. Enjoy your life! Be weird, be colorful, do anything that makes you happy! Sometimes breaking rules, are the best antidotes to a great life. Just make sure to remind yourself to not overdo it too much. But heck, it’s your life anyway.

Resolution #4: Ignite joy.

From a saying that you know of, life is short, and it really is. You should do your best to get the best out of things (got that from a saying too) and ignite happiness, care, love, hope, and everything else that’s all good and jolly to make the world a little warmer for you and everyone else. But that doesn’t mean anything about global warming. That’s a totally different story.

tumblr_lr9saqYR7r1qztwte

My advice for you is to be happy. Like, true happiness, true kind-heartedness, do things with love, anything as long as you do it with courtesy and correctly. You can do it with others too!

Resolution #5: Count your blessings.

Truth be told, you know and you can confess that when you see a person with those great looks and outfits that just defines his/her social status, you get the “judging myself” time. And yet, it isn’t healthy. You should know that you’re already great! You got a house, you got family, friends, food, and more! Those are more than just enough to become the greatest person ever yet!

My advice for you is to count your blessings.

Resolution #6: Do stuff your own way.

When it comes to work, you get used to the “listen to the boss” or “follow this and that” blah blah blah things that makes your life a total work and a *puts on sarcastic voice*  a life’s work. Jeez, it’s time to tune it up!

My advice for you is to be creative, let yourself do your own thing and style! Make your life enjoyable! Express yourself to others and show them how it’s done! You can’t always be the worker. You just gotta be the boss too.

Resolution #7: Know your worth.

giphy (1).gif

When I mean worth, I don’t really exactly mean money. I mean the fact that you should understand your own value to others. You don’t have to entertain them or to be with them just to let them see your value. Shoo-shoo away haters and fakers!

Resolution #8: Fall without breaking.

Falling deep into love, trust, and with others can sometimes turn out into sad turns and twists. And that’s life you know, it just happens. That’s why you should know how to prepare on events like these.

tumblr_ourviuDlTd1wy4186o1_500.gif

My advice for you is to make sure that you are willing to fall into it deeply and to know what to do when you break yourself and hit rock bottom. Learn how to pick up your own broken pieces, glue yourself back again, bloom, and move on.

Resolution #9: Speak your heart out.

Your heart is like a bottle-sized jar. It keeps all the feelings, the memories, and including your dark secrets. Most of the time, there are also the things that you would like to say, and I am telling you this. Say it.

My advice for you is to speak before you do it. Sometimes it’s right to just say it away, and sometimes, you just gotta take a moment to do it. Just make sure it’s the choice you’re willing to choose.

Resolution #10: Pop a drink.

tenor (2)

Come on, it’s enjoyable. It doesn’t have to be alcoholic, just drink to the name of the things and events that you did, lived, and survived!

Hey it’s “refill your food” or “pee break” time! BTW, what do you think of this article so far? Got some comments, advice, ads, and other stuff you would like for me to post about? Check out my contact info after this article or just visit my contact page!

Resolution #11: Meditate healthily.

tenor (3).gif

Always give yourself the health and relaxation that your body needs. Lmao I literally sound like an advertisement hahaha.

My advice for you is to tranquilize. Do any act to keep yourself settled back, healthy, and unwind to recharge yourself.

Resolution #12: Be a sleeper.

No one likes lack of sleep and I know you don’t want it too. It gives you less energy and it makes you turn lazy, giving you a lot of regrets and promises to wake up early broken.

images (1)

My advice for you is to sleep more and sleep early as much as needed.

Resolution #13: Get Real

watermark

In those days when social and popularity status in the internet wasn’t really a thing before, people were still all real and original. But in this modern age, it seems like everyone wants to be her or him (you know, those in the higher-up status and all) and it just loses most of everyone’s true authenticity and genuineness of themselves.

My advice for you is to be your own style in every way. Don’t be a copy cat. You can idolize and be “on the trend”, just as long as you don’t forget to add something that makes you stand out and be that someone in the crowd.

Resolution #14: Don’t expect too much.

Expecting how easy you will pass through all your problems and all in the future can make you become a person with too much of your self. Self-esteem is great but too much can turn you into a person with a big ego.

My advice for you is to stay humble and kind. Be equal to yourself and to others. Know the difference facing the reality, and expecting it.

Resolution #15: Remember to help yourself before others.

The world is changing and so are you. And trust me, working to achieve those goals in order to succeed gets tougher. Making you more pressured or stressed when you get that impatient, urge feeling to finish it so you can do this and that with the people you want to be with, and that’s normal I tell you. We all get that too.

My advice for you is to not involve yet to yourself to others when it comes to helps that gives you more of your time. Finish your tasks first, become flourishing, and when you’re done, then that’s the time when you can be dynamic and prolific in helping others.

Resolution #16: Do more.

SQBSHAD.gif

If you finish the #2 resolution, and you got enough time to spare, then you can do more other stuff that you haven’t tried yet! Go somewhere! Eat, get to know people, and discover! Don’t have the time? Then make time! Live every moment and do much as possible with adventure!

Resolution #17: Go get a foodie cheat day.

giphy (2).gif

Too much work, excercise, and diet runs can become too much for you, especially boring. But hey, what’s wrong with having a junk food-all fun day from time to time?! As long as you are happy and go back to your regular healthy-work-and-diet run, then you’ll be fine!

My advice for you is to go and eat something new from time to time!

Now, for my last resolution!

Resolution #18: Congratulate yourself.

tumblr_mjic765FR31s4xdz1o1_500

Nowadays, people like you tend to forget to congratulate yourself for going through every problem that life hits at you. No matter what outcome you come face into, you musn’t never forget to be glad that you did your best, and that you at least tried (but if you didn’t then that’s still alright). Never forget to congratulate yourself for all of it!

My advice for you is to congratulate yourself for doing a good job.

Christmas Bloom

The bells are ringing, the children are caroling, the snow is falling (or in tropical countries, it’s just getting cold), and the food is cooking! Ey homies! It’s me again, your one and only, Kyla The Kyotieee!

This month of December celebrates the most well-known event which everyone recognizes, the feast of Jesus’s Birth which is held annually every 25th of December! That is also called, Christmas! I know that it is the most-awaited event of the year, but why is it called the best? Here are 5 things why!

237

1.SALE SALE SALE!

One of the very reasons why people are so excited for Christmas Season is the reduction of clothing prices in popular and top-line fashion industries known to human kind. Imagine, your dream-to-have bag was about the price of 3 pairs of heels, but since it’s the season to be jolly, it changed into HALF. THE. PRICE. *screams internally* What joy! Thank you Christmas!

giphy.gif

A-MEN! WOOHOO!

2. CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTATIONS!

Have you ever seen such mesmerizing and entertaining colorful bright lights?! Those Santa Claus decors, paper snowflakes, and of course! The Christmas tree with presents below it! Man, it really brings the spirit of Christmas. Not to mention the warm cookies and milk as you cuddle down near the chimney (but if you don’t have one, you can do a camp fire somewhere).

ShySimplisticFrigatebird-small.gif

3. ALL PARTY, NO POOPERS!

Christmas is all about giving, loving, and celebrating the good last days of the year as a new awaited year comes upon to us! Tis the season where all of our loved ones are gathered all together to feast, and to PARTY! In this warm circle of love and joy, there is and will be no sadness! Just good times to create and to rejoice! Bottoms up!

980x.gif

Heck yes.

4. SANTA CLAUS!

ASDFGHJKL SANTAAAA!

giphy-downsized.gif

And finallyyyyy!

5. CHRISTMAS SPIRIT!

This is the part when nothing needs to make any sense because it’s all about joy, love, and celebration! Without this, then you wouldn’t be able enjoy the season! Enjoy Christmas happily with your family and friends by your side! Just make sure you don’t go too far. If you know what I mean. 😉 Make each and every moment memorable!

The Mustard Girl in a Churro Cafe

The heat in November gets shorter as Christmas gets nearer here in the Philippines. Yet no matter what happens, I still get to wear a mustard outfit (with a sweater in my tote bag when it gets cold at night) when I go to La Lola Churreria. The place where different churros to different dips other than chocolate exist!

lalola1.png

I’m not much of a foodie blogger, but when it comes to churros, it’s a must-blog! Each churro has it’s own unique flavor and is made with delicacy. But I just chose the classic churro with a signature chocolate dip.

Churro Girl

CHURROSSSS!!!

We had to wait for awhile though, for the churros to be ready. But, while we were at it, my brother took a picture of me while we were waiting for it, and I find it very vintage and trendy. Well done bro. Well done.

MONSTRE DE CIRQUE: MY SCHOOL’S 42ND FOUNDATION ANNIVERSARY LAST DAY PART 2

Ey homies! Remember the last blog yesterday? Well, I forgot to tell you our customers suggested that we should change our theme for the last day! And guess what was our theme! Go ahead! GUESS.

CLOWNS! CLOWNS! CLOWNS! HEE-HEE-HEE!giphy

YEP THAT’S RIGHT. CLOWNS.

We started at 10A.M. (like the first day) due to our late arrival in school and it was really hard because we were supposed to open at 9A.M. By the time I got there, there were a lot of students asking if we were already open or if they can pay for an early reservation. I had to talk them through to wait a little bit more or at least come back after an hour. Unfortunately, most of them gave up and went to check out the other horror booth. Damn.

Okay, so I’ll tell you guys about it in a “book” theme inspired format. Enjoy!

CHAPTAH ONE:

“THE MORNING SHIFT”

When it was already time, more than 50 students were already lining up outside our booth and man, was it tiring! Especially since I’m assigned to be a cashier with my friends for this last day. We had to make sure that we were already ready and spooktacular (see what I did there hehe) for our customers, and in just 2 and a half hours, we managed to serve ALL OF THEM, in just a snap. HECK. YES.

tumblr_mjic765FR31s4xdz1o1_500

WOOT WOOT!

CHAPTAH TWO:
“THE BREAK TIME”

After all that scaring, blood spilling acts done by our actors and actresses, I told them to take their lunch and be back before 1P.M. to get ready for the next and last shift of our booth business. I went with my friends and one of them bought us a WHOLE BOX OF PIZZA. LIKE SRSLY, #BLESSED. We also tried eating the food around our campus and just listened to the sweet, OPM (Original Philippine Music) songs of the boys on stage. Man did it feel good and great. But as I checked my phone, it suddenly popped out the time. 1.PM. *que the piano music* DOOMED. Nah just kidding. We just went back while I was still holding a slice of pizza on my hand.

CHAPTAH THREE:
“THE AFTERNOON SHIFT”

Okay so my friends and I came back and guess what. No one. Was. There. I freaked out, totally. I mean, why shouldn’t I? I was the group leader of this task, and the president! Of course I should freak out. But, surprisingly, I didn’t continue busting my head off, why? Oh because my friends freaked out much more than I did. LOL. Anyway, we called our teacher, sent messages to our leading actors and actresses to come back, cleaned our booth, called the make-up artists, checked the sound effects, and so on, and so forth. It was a last-minute performance I tell you that. But we still managed to make 50+ customers in just 2 hours! All thanks to hard work, and cooperation, and that’s what really matters, right? It turned out to be the best foundation days of our school life, and made us think more about next year’s too.
